Embedded Component refers to an advanced manufacturing process where passive components (such as resistors, capacitors, and inductors) are directly embedded into the inner layers of a PCB’s multilayer structure. Unlike traditional surface-mount technology (SMT), embedded components are integrated into the PCB dielectric layers through laser drilling and lamination processes, saving surface space while improving circuit density and signal integrity.
Key advantages of this technology include:
  1. High-Density Design – Reduces the number of surface-mounted components, making it ideal for miniaturized devices (e.g., smartphones, wearables).
  2. Enhanced Electrical Performance – Shortens signal paths and minimizes parasitic effects, making it suitable for high-frequency and high-speed applications (5G, RF modules).
  3. Improved Reliability – Protects components from external mechanical stress and environmental corrosion, extending product lifespan.
